Damion Silver
Damion Silver was born in 1973 in New Britain, Connecticut, and currently resides in New Hampshire. Silver is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work spans printmaking, assemblage and sculpture. Both his art and design work have been shown and published throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.
Silver’s latest work explores the use of form through repetition, subtraction and abstraction. The combination of media and use of space between the works creates a dynamic and unifying dialog across his body of work.
Currently I am focused on making sculptures and printmaking, more specifically, abstract sculpture and printmaking.
My intention with the work is to explore form and color and to find its balance and harmony within the space it occupies. These works are my response to the chaos of the world we currently live in. It is difficult to find space that is removed from the noise of the outside world, my practice provides that refuge.
My process is an iterative one, one that leans on my intuition as I work with a variety of materials, in scale and medium. It is not a linear process by any means however, results in a body of work whose form language is balanced in singularity and in total.
