Join us on Thursday, April 21, from 6 to 8 pm, for an evening reception with artists Daniel Benayun and Nina Wishnok. Both Benayun and Wishnok are featured in our current exhibition 5 to 9: The double lives of commercial artists, which focuses on the balancing act many artists face when accepting commercial work. It is this concept of a "double life" that Benayun and Wishnok will address Thursday evening in a moderated conversation centered on the commercial work they choose to take on and how these endeavors inform their fine art practices.

Daniel Benayun is a designer and painter who lives and works in Jamaica Plain. Benayun also contributes to Bucket's Moving Company, a creative media studio based in Los Angeles, Calif.

Nina Wishnok is a printmaker and graphic designer whose studio is based in Somerville. In addition to her fine art practice, Wishnok is a senior designer at the MIT Media Lab, a multidisciplinary research group that seeks to answer tomorrow's questions today.
