Linda Cordner grew up in Connecticut and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with concentrations in graphic design and painting, from the University of Connecticut. She works in her studio in Lincoln, Massachusetts.

Color, light and depth are expressed in my paintings through layering, and an abstracted geometry that references nature and the aging of things. The colors are muted and distressed, evoking a well worn surface. Working in a transparent medium is important in my work, enabling me to have light and shadow present in the paintings.
