Erin MacEachern

Erin MacEachern is a published illustrator, designer, and educator based in Lowell, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2018. She enjoys all things whimsical in both her commercial and personal work. MacEachern is constantly experimenting with media, but lately has been working with gouache, pencils, and digital media. Regardless of the media, she finds comfort in seeing the human hand and the scribbles of a line. She plays with  opaqueness verses translucency and fluidity verses control.

MacEachern is a passionate, enthusiastic person who wears many creative “hats,” and once she learns something she loves to share that knowledge with others. She received her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2022 from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and began teaching, sharing her passion of art and illustration with others in workshops and classes.

MacEachern's sketchbook is a place of failures and successes. It's a reference guide for herself as an artist. She writes down words and stories that resonate with her in bold black pens. She plans, experiments, and catalogs moments. This is where her work begins.
