Wallace recieved her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, before pursuing her Art Education Teacher Certification at Simmons College. She worked for many years as the Art Supervisor at Dover Elementary schools.

My work is based on images that draw my interest, whether it be a prefabricated window or shed, or patriotic party products that I take from advertising enclosures in the popular press. My attitude is one of irony and humor towards our consumer culture. Influences are Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

I use a projector to enlarge the images and project them onto canvas. From there the composition is adjusted and color and texture are built up with layers of paint.
