13FOREST's new exhibition, Good on Paper, celebrates Boston area printmakers and the richness of their medium. Prints are usually made by transferring ink or paint from a plate to paper. While artists frequently produce multiple prints within a series, each print is considered an original and in some way each differs from the others. Good on Paper highlights the variety of printmaking techniques and their range of possible outcomes.

Opening with a reception on September 20 from 7-9 pm, the show highlights work from ten local artists, including etchings, relief prints, collagraphs, cyanotypes, screenprints, chine-collé and reduction linoleum prints. These techniques and imagery reference locales as far-flung as Japan, Eastern Europe and coastal Maine. Good on Paper coincides with the Boston Printmakers 2013 Biennial and features artists who currently or have previously been included in the event.
