Deb Hickey received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from The Art Institute of Boston. She currently lives in Providence, Rhode Island.

Deb Hickey is a Rhode Island photographer who focuses on architectural portraiture. She composes her images through the camera lens and then manipulates what she sees by transferring her images onto board, adding paint and then further embellishing with collage elements. She sometimes prints her images onto rice paper and then preserves the image under encaustic medium. Deb's mixed-media pieces of architecture and landscape photographs transform conventional surroundings into personal explorations of color, shape and space. Her technique engages the viewer by recalling memories of familiar buildings sometimes forgotten by time.
